QUETTA: The Jaffar Express train, operating under the name of Eid special train, left for Peshawar from Quetta on Tuesday, carrying more than 450 passengers, according to Divisional Superintendent of Railways Imran Hayat.

The train has the total capacity of 675 passengers. While it departed with 450 passengers from Quetta, more travelers are expected to board the train at various stations along the route. The train will make scheduled stops at several stations between Lahore and Peshawar.

Railway officials stated that the Eid Special train service was launched to accommodate the increased travel demand during Eidul Azha and to offer convenience to citizens. All bookings for the train were completed in advance.

Strict security arrangements were in place at the time of departure of the train to ensure safety of passengers and staff.
